The short version

The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your profit, salary and filing status are never sent anywhere unless you press “Save & copy shareable link”. There are no accounts, no advertising trackers, and no third-party analytics scripts.

What is stored, and when

  • Nothing, by default. Entering figures sends no data to our servers. The inputs live in the page and in the URL.
  • Saved scenarios. If you choose to save one, the inputs you entered and the resulting summary are stored against a random identifier so the link works. There is no name, email or account attached, and the page is excluded from search engines.
  • Outbound link clicks. When you follow a link to a payroll, formation or bookkeeping partner, we record which partner, which page it came from, and the country from the request headers. We do not store IP addresses, and we do not fingerprint devices.

What is never stored

  • Your name, address, Social Security or taxpayer identification number.
  • Your IP address.
  • Anything that would let us identify you from a saved scenario.

Cookies

Electa sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising or analytics tags, so there is no consent banner to dismiss. Partners you click through to will have their own policies, which apply once you arrive on their site.

Affiliate relationships

Some outbound links pay us a commission if you sign up. That relationship never changes a calculated figure and never changes the recommendation — when the arithmetic says not to elect, the page says not to elect and shows you different links.

Deleting a saved scenario

Saved scenarios contain no personal data, but if you want one removed, send us the link and it will be deleted.
